Exploring is a part of the Learning for Life career education program for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the 8th grade) through 20 years old. Exploring is a co-ed part of the Boy Scouts of America, and is designed to allow youth to have hands-on training and experience in a field that they may be interested in. Exploring provides structure, with adult supervision, and the ability for youth to be involved in the training and exercises as if they were in the career field. ESAR 181 provides training and experience in emergency medicine, EMT and Paramedic as well as search and rescue. All activities have adult sponsors called Advisors. These Advisors are experienced individuals working in the fields which they are training.
